Meno
Plato · translated by Benjamin Jowett
Meno asks Socrates whether virtue can be taught, and Socrates replies that they must first find out what virtue is.
The Meno is a dialogue on virtue and knowledge. It includes the passage in which Socrates questions a slave boy about a problem in geometry to support the claim that learning is recollection.
This edition is the English translation by Benjamin Jowett.
