How recommendations work
We suggest what to read next using simple rules you can see here. Most of it never leaves your browser.
What we use

What we never do
- Send your reading history to our servers, or build a profile of you.
- Use support messages, payment details or anything sensitive to decide what to show.
- Show a product because it pays more, hide options, or use countdowns and pressure.
- Suggest a product before you've read several essays on its subject, or something you already own.
Every suggestion says why it's there (for example “Also about attention”). Everyone who hasn't read anything yet sees the same suggestions.
