What we sell, and what it costs
Modern Philosophers sells two things: ebooks to buy and keep, and Library Pass plans to read ebooks online for a set time. Every price is a one-time payment in US dollars. Nothing renews.
Ebooks to keep
$5.00 or $7.00 per book, shown on each book's page.
- A digital book: an EPUB file and a PDF file to download, and the same book to read online in your browser.
- Yours to keep: it stays in your library, and you can download it as often as you need.
- One payment per book. No subscription.
Library Pass: read online for a set time
A Library Pass is prepaid reading access to the books marked “Library Pass” in the catalog. You pay once for the period you choose and it ends on its own. Each plan allows a set number of different books a month.
| Plan | Price (once) | Access | Books to read online a month | Books to download a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $12.00 | 30 days | 10 | 3 |
| 3 months | $33.00 | 91 days | 50 | 8 |
| 6 months | $59.00 | 182 days | 200 | 20 |
| 1 year | $99.00 | 365 days | 500 | 50 |
- A month is 30 days, counted from the day the pass starts. Opening or downloading the same book again doesn't count twice.
- When a month's downloads are used up, the book you asked for can be bought to keep at 50% off, for up to 3 books a month.
- When the pass ends, reading and downloads through it stop. Books you bought stay yours.
